February 24, 2010 (GBN News): An embarrassed Education Secretary Arne Duncan was late for a Cabinet meeting today after being detained and strip-searched at O’Hare Airport before boarding a flight to Washington. The Transportation Safety Administration had no official comment, but a source at the TSA told GBN News that the Secretary had apparently been put on the Terrorist Watch List.According to this official, Mr. Duncan had attracted the attention of the TSA after reports that he could be about to destroy the US public school system. While some at the TSA wanted to dismiss Mr. Duncan’s reputed plans as a “crackpot scheme”, others prevailed by pointing out that if he succeeded, the effects on our education system could be devastating.
When asked if any other high education officials were also placed on the watch list, the source said, “I’m not saying yes or no, but if I were Joel Klein, I’d make sure my underwear was presentable before I tried getting on a plane.”
