Please
send a letter to the State Education Commissioner and the Board of Regents, demanding that they cancel the Regents exams immediately. It is simply unfair to require students to pass a series of high-stakes exams to graduate from high school given that their education has been hugely disrupted by the school shutdowns and the coronavirus pandemic.
Most NY state assessments have already been suspended in light of the COVID-19 school shutdowns, and it is clear that schools will continue to be closed for weeks, if not months. These school closures have left many students at a severe disadvantage. You can
