I think you were better off saying Bill Gates should stick to making operating systems. Who is this guy anyway?

Leonie,
You were fabulous. The guy you were "debating" is an idiot, and you knocked him off his feet and made him look like the techno-fool he clearly is.
Great job!

Listen carefully -- whoever that other so-called expert is, he has absolutely zero idea what "tracking" is. He clearly thinks it has something to do with monitoring students' progress or results, not the way students are grouped together according to their demonstrated levels of proficiency or readiness for advancement. His self-evident lack of knowledge on this one matter utterly invalidated his credentials on everything else he had to say, since he obviously doesn't really know very much about education. He's sure hot on educational technology though, which ironically is sort of the ultimate in tracking.

Leonie, You were incredibly articulate and stayed with the message, supporting it with evidence based research. Kudos to this appearance

Leonie, you were great! You were on target, and hit the central theme that the reformers-du-jour ,Gates, Duncan, and the techno-fool you debated, don't know a thing about education.

This was the best performance I have seen any real reformer give on cable T.V.

You message was clear and concise:

1. Research shows smaller class sizes improves educational outcomes.

2. we waste money on educational fads not based in research

3. Tax millionaires and we won't have to lay off teachers and increase class size

Your ability to cite studies and quote officials was powerful. Keep up the good work!

shameless self-promoter. if you are really concerned about class size, make that your focus, not your media appearances.
